This richly illustrated presentation illuminates ancient Egypt’s medical world, the role of magic in medicine, and examines several actual cases from recent excavations.
“Medicine in Ancient Egypt, Part II, The Dead Really Do Tell Tales” – Part II of this richly illustrated presentation takes us behind the scenes on a modern archaeology dig in Egypt, where we examine several actual cases from Dr. Steve’s recent excavations in the vast cemeteries adjacent to the Great Pyramids and Sphinx. Highlights include our discovery of ancient Egyptian human skeletal remains that display the successful treatment of serious wounds, as well as direct evidence of diseases still extant in humankind today.
