12/11 Nicolai Gedda: Considered by many as the most complete tenor of the 20th century, Nicolai Gedda was one of the most recorded singers in history and sang opera competently in more languages than nearly any other performer. He is known for his beauty of tone, control and acting ability. He was an active recoding and performing artist until he was nearly 80 years old, and has left a legacy that few can match.
12/28 (Thursday )Frankie Avalon: Teen idol of the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, Frankie Avalon had 31 hits between 1958 and 1962 including the #1 chart-toppers “Venus” and “Why.” He was also famous for the Beach Party and Stock Car Racing films of the ‘60’s with Annette Funicello. He appeared in many other films including Grease and Casino and was a popular nightclub singer, especially at the Jersey Shore and Las Vegas, along with Fabian and Paul Anka.
