The Illustrators: Norman Rockwell, N C Wyeth and Maxfield Parrish are the best known American Illustrators of the 20th Century. Their art covered magazines such as Life, Colliers, Saturday Evening Post, Hearst’s, McClure’s and The Popular Magazine. The genius and art of these giants are perhaps the pinnacle of a tradition of Illustration technique that began centuries ago and has been adapted and changed as new technologies have allowed. This program explores the history of illustration and the legacy that these artists have left for us in the 21st Century.
