“On December 9, 1956, Dimitri Tiomkin stumped the panel on “What’s My Line.”  65 years later, Ira will focus the December lectures on the life and music of Dmitri Tiomkin.  He was the first film composer to win an Academy award for best original song: “Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling”, while winning an Oscar for the same film “High Noon.”  In total, Tiomkin won four academy awards.”
