Thursdays – Ethics in Modern Life
2/2 & 2/16 @ 11:00 AM/CH
Hosted by: Sarah Rosenson
In each of these sessions we will discuss a different ethical issue that has strong arguments on both sides. Our issues will be drawn from a wide range of sources and will cover a wide variety of topics but will always foster lively discussion. In January we talked about ethical issues in society at large, like whether a draft or a volunteer army is more ethical, and issues that come up with location tracking devices. In February we will discuss more personal ethical issues. On the 2nd we will talk about ethics and gift-giving, and on the 16th we will explore some ethical dilemmas involving parents and children from the New York Times Ethicist column. Come join the conversation and share your views!
