Thursday – Ethics in Modern Life
5/14 & 5/28 @ 11:00 AM/CH
Hosted by: Sarah Rosenson
In each of these sessions we will discuss a different ethical issue that has strong arguments on both sides. Our issues will be drawn from a wide range of sources and will cover a wide variety of topics but will always foster lively discussion.
5/ 14: We will explore the ethics of surveillance pricing, which is when companies charge different prices for different customers for the same product based on each customer’s personal data.
5/28: We will talk about scenarios from the New York Times Ethicist column that explore our obligations to family members who have gone astray in some way.
