Broadway had great changes which brought it into the modern era, including musicals by the hippies (HAIR), African Americans, (PURLIE), British invasion (OLIVER) , ethnic musicals (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and the Jukebox Musical (MAMMA MIA etc.)
