THERE’S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE AT LIONS GATE!
“I thought retirement would be long walks and reading books, but at Lions Gate – with so many terrific things to do under one roof, its great location and all of the nice people here – my retirement is active, active, active!” says Lions Gate Resident Jacqueline (Jackie) Levitt.
Jackie is a retired teacher who is currently secretary for the Lions Gate Residents’ Council, a contributing writer for the residents’ newsletter and organizer/instructor for tap dancing, Tai Chi and jazz classes, as well as drama group singer and choreographer. She also participates in gardening club, yoga, water aerobics and art classes, book and short story groups, led by the Camden County Library…and she says the Zumba classes “are out of this world!” She enjoys the cooking shows performed by the Lions Gate Executive Chef, happy hours and dance parties, movies (many first-run) three nights a week, drumming exercise and history classes as well as visits to various theaters, museums and the orchestra.
“I’m always on the move,” she says and laughs as she adds, “My chiropractor says he wants to be like me…he wants to wear out instead of rust!”
A few other residents were recently asked what they enjoyed most about Lions Gate and here are their responses:
“The pool is really great and I love the Jacuzzi, but my visitors…the little grandchildren love it more!” says Michele Brille.
“We have an excellent program director who has set up so many wonderful activities. I particularly enjoy Lions Gate University in which college professors are on-site to teach three different courses within a week!” Ernie Jeleneck.
Lions Gate is a Continuing Care Retirement Community conveniently located close to all the excellent shopping, dining and cultural opportunities that South Jersey and Philadelphia have to offer.
