In each of these sessions we will discuss a different ethical issue that has strong arguments on both sides. Our issues will be drawn from a wide range of sources and will cover a wide variety of topics but will always foster lively discussion.
9/3–five years after September 11 we will discuss an ethics thought experiment about that tragic day.
9/17 We will talk about “sportswashing” and “reputation laundering,” where a country or corporation with a questionable human rights record hosts an international sporting event or makes a large charitable donation to get good publicity and make themselves look better.
