BY U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR
U.S. News & World Report, a leading expert in the evaluation and rating of health care providers across the country, recently identified The Health Center at Lions Gate as one of the Best Nursing Homes in the Country for 2017-18. Over 15,000 homes nationwide were evaluated – across each state and in 100 major metropolitan areas. This year, only 15 percent of nursing homes earned this special designation.
Recognizing that several million Americans will spend at least some time in a nursing home this year, whether undergoing rehab after a hospital stay or as long-term residents, U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home ratings are designed to help potential residents and their loved ones navigate this difficult process. The results of the report were based on ratings in health inspections, nurse staffing, measures of medical quality of care and rehabilitation therapy.
Lions Gate CEO Susan Love attributes this designation to the extraordinary care and dedication of the entire Health Center team. “Our compassionate, skilled team members continually strive to provide the highest quality care and services for our residents and unmatched peace of mind for their families,” she says. “We love our residents like family, and it shows in how we care for them. Being named one of the best nursing homes in the country by the U.S. News & World Report is one illustration of our efforts to provide exceptional care to all those we serve.”
In addition to long-term nursing care, The Health Center at Lions Gate offers comprehensive, outcome-focused rehabilitation and respiratory therapy. Lions Gate also has a Five-Star Quality Rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for Excellence in Healthcare.
