Hear and learn about the great musicals of early Broadway which were called operettas.
Most were written between 1900 and 1930, and went directly from Broadway to the movies, many starring Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy.
Hear the music of Victor Herbert, Sigmund Romberg, Rudolf Friml and Oscar Straus.
All were born in Europe but made the American musical great!
Selections will be showing from Babes in Toyland, Naughty Marietta, The Student Prince, New Moon, Rose-Marie, The Chocolate Soldier, and many more!
