The Great Plains region of the US conveys images of vast grasslands, wagon trains, Native Americans, and wide-open spaces. With a combined geographical and historical lens, we will delve into this unique part of the US, from dinosaurs to bison, Native Americans to pioneers, the Ice Age to the Age of Conquistadors. Through slides and discussion, we will explore this quintessential part of the US and why it’s importance in the history of North America.
