8/28 Introduction to the music of the Classical Period (around 1750 – 1825).  As we approach the Age of Enlightenment and the rise of a non-aristocratic middle class, the music will change.  This is the period when the symphony is introduced.  During this session, we will compare the styles of the baroque with the new classical styles.
