12/5 We will take a break from our study of ethics to read and discuss a delightful short story by the Jewish author Grace Paley. The story relates to the December holiday season, and it is very short, so we will read it together in class. No advanced reading is necessary.
12/19: We will discuss ethical issues that come up when family gathers to celebrate any holiday.
