In this combined geography-history series, we will examine the lasting and indelible impact of an empire that fell over 1,500 years ago—the Roman Empire. By exploring the alphabet, language, religion, the Jewish diaspora, trade routes, medicine, government, engineering, geography and more, we will find Roman connections between the distant past and the world of the 21st Century.
