They prompted daring adventures to distant lands in Asia and the Pacific. Wealth and status were measured by the possession of these luxurious and elusive flavorings. Let’s take a voyage to India, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia to investigate spices and how they influenced world exploration and trade.
