3/11 Lesley Gore:  Lesley Goldstein (Gore) was an American singer and songwriter. At the age of 16, she recorded her first hit song “It’s My Party”, a US number one in 1963. She followed it up with ten further US Billboard top 40 hits including “Judy’s Turn to Cry” and “You Don’t Own Me”. Gore said herself she considered “You Don’t Own Me” as her signature song

3/25 Chita Rivera: Received numerous accolades including two Tony Awards, two Drama Desk Awards, and a Drama League Award. She was the first Latina and the first Latino American to receive a Kennedy Center Honor in 2002, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009. She won the Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2018. She is mourned for her recent passing in 2024.
