“On my Underground Railroad, I never ran my train off the track, and I never lost a passenger” Harriet Tubman. In this one-part presentation, we will look at 10 famous “Stations” on the Underground Railroad. We’ll explore: What was the Underground Railroad? What was the Code? How was it organized? What were the routes? Who was Harriet Tubman? How did the Fugitive Slave Act impact the Underground Railroad? What was the impact of “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”? What was the impact of The Emancipation Act? These will all be answered in this presentation.
