3/14 Galileo Galilei is one of the most important figures in the development of the scientific revolution that fundamentally changed how we view the world and the universe. Throughout his illustrious life, Galileo developed the scientific method, which led him to make numerous discoveries that openly challenged conventional views of the Earth.

 

3/21 Voltaire was one of the greatest writers and philosophers in French history. One of his favorite uses of his craft was to satirize and criticize things or institutions with which he took issue. But his criticisms often drew notice, and it’s safe to say that a man ahead of his time like Voltaire would have some misadventures and run-ins with the law.

 

3/28 Nostradamus, was a man who has grown infamous for his predictions about the future, almost always written in four-line stanzas structure known as “quatrains.” The truth, however, is that he was an educated physician and author who was well respected during his time for his healing work and the success of his written almanacs.
